Winter is Coming to Town…

Yes, we already had a bit of winter in our town. Last morning our yard was covered with white blanket. It is too early for winter yet…

… А из нашего окна снега белого сполна!

Вспомнила детский стишок вчера утром. Просто не могла поверить своим глазам – наш двор был покрыт первым снегом! Конечно, он растаял к полудню, но факт остается фактом – к нам приходит в гости Зимушка-Зима. Честно сказать я к ней еще не готова…

Хотя не все так уж и плохо. Снежок напомнил мне о предстоящих праздниках. Пора, пора начинать готовить подарочки и открыточки. Вот эта открыточка своеобразный ре-мейк на открытку с прошлого года. Штампик от компании There She Goes.

Trying to challenge myself in using the papers that I have in my stash, stopping myself from buying the new ones. It is hard, but good for me. 🙂

For a Special Girl

Hello everybody!

Today’s card will be shipped tomorrow for a very special girl whose birthday is coming soon.

I simply adore Torico’s digital stamps. She is SUPER talented! The great thing that There She Goes Company created stamp sets with her designs also. If I would have an opportunity I would probably buy all her stamp sets. 🙂 But… I didn’t win a lottery yet. So far my biggest win on the lottery (when I used to but those 1-2$ lottery tickets) was a coupon to buy an item at the store which was discontinued. Yep, I am not kidding.

I am pleased with this card. I think in a real life it looks even better. I just hope that my friend will like it too!

Это открыточка уже упакована и готова к путешествию на День Рождение к замечательному человечку.

Симпатичная девочка на открыточке – это цифровой штампик от Torico. Я обожаю ее стиль! По ее эскизам компания There She Goes выпускает акриловые штампики. Эх, дорогие мои, если бы была возможность, я бы их все скупила (мечты сумасшедшей). Но увы… лотерию я пока не выиграла. Хотя да, как-то я увлекалась этим делом, покупала в местном магазине такие дешевенькие лотерейные билеты. О, я даже приз выиграла. Купон на товар, который сняли с производства. Нет, правда, я не шучу. Супер, да!

Об открытке… Результатом довольна. Кажется, что в жизне она намного симпатичнее. Теперь остается только надеется, что и подружке моей понравится.

Go retro with the sketch and stamp

Hello,

Today’s card was inspired by the new challenge at PS Sparks Challenge. Hope you are not tired yet of my cards that I make for Paper Smooches challenges.

This week it is a color challenge. I chose Knick Knacks stamp set birthday sentiment from Party Posse set. When I looked through the scraps of the papers I had, I found a piece from Basic Grey Collection. And then an idea came into my head. It is kind fits to the xylophone from the Knick Knacks set and it has all the colors from the challenge color palette.

I kept the design of the cards pretty simple (is it too simple?). The layout is so close to the sketch from Retro sketches blog. I find a lot of inspiration there from so many talented crafters.

So glad you stopped by today. My card today was based on the 300th MOJO Monday sketch. When I saw that Julee celebrating her challenge blog Anniversary I told myself that I do need to play with the sketch and participate in the challenge.

Lawn Fawn Cuties

Hello to Everybody!

I am so excited to show you two cards I made with the Love n’ Breakfast Lawn Fawn stamp set. Aren’t these stamps cute? I like their happy faces!

My first card is made for the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #104. This week it is all about flags and banners. I hope this card qualifies for CAS style.

Start every morning with a smile

Second card doesn’t have any patterned papers and no embellishments. Just plain stamping and sponging. You would think it took me just couple of minutes to make it. No, it took me longer. CAS are not that easy, more challenging for me. And it is part of fun!

Popping UP to say…

Both of the cards are going to participate in {Lawn}scaping challenge – use any type of medium to color. Of course I used my favorite Prismacolor pencils and OMS.

Thank you Teacher!

… The school year is almost over. It was our first year at new place, we had some ups and downs. Normal life, right? Sergei had a good fortune with his teachers. Very nice people and so inspiring. Always ready to help and answer all the questions. To show our appreciation and gratitude I made thank you cards. I will show you couple of them. 🙂

This card is for our Robotics and Design class teacher. This cute robot from Paper Smooches fits perfect to the theme. The sketch is from MOJO Monday sketch. Hope our teacher liked it. 🙂

Squeal, it’s your Birthday!

… That’s how I felt when I finished this card. When you look at this hamster you just want to squeal because he is so CUTE! I made this card for my co-worker (from my last job in WI) for her birthday. Hope she liked it.
