Merry Christmas!

Good Morning My Friends and Merry Christmas! It is finally here! 🙂 All gifts are wrapped and waiting for everybody in the house to look what did Santa brought for them this year? Yesterday Sergei left some cookies, milk and carrot for him (Santa). Looks like he liked his treats since I couldn’t find any left overs. 🙂

I will not keep you for so long, just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

May you have the spirit of Christmas which is peace, the gladness of Christmas which is hope and the heart of Christmas which is love.

Enjoy your holiday time with family and friends. Enjoy special meals and have some fun!

Oppss… Almost forgot – I think I didn’t show you this card I made. It fits perfect to today’s occasion.

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving me your comments! Merry Christmas!

Card inspired by two challenges

Hello and Happy Tuesday! Thank you so much for your sweet welcoming wishes about my Guest DT position! I really appreciate it!

Today I wanted to show you a card that was inspired by two fun challenges. Just by glancing at it you probably recognized Mercy’s sketch from last week. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it in time, but I really wanted to create something follow her great layout.

Cute little guy named Pepper from La-La Land was so happy to be a main character of this card. I just love his hat, and of course it was such a joy to color him!

One more challenge helped me with the choice of the patterned papers. It’s an Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoaststampers. This week we needed to find something from Charm Lady Boutique and be creative. I liked the pattern and the colors of the art pendant by Jenn Ski, and I think that it matches to the DP from K&Company (stripes) and Bo-Bunny (circles).

Before finishing this post, wanted to show very cute card I received from Allison. I love this pretty girl and her pet; she looks just like me! 🙂 Thank you so much Allison, you really made my day!

Now it is time to put a dot and tell you thank you for your lovely comments! I will be back tomorrow with a new challenge card at La-La Land.

Happy crafting,

Elena

Crazy For Cheese or Crazy For Challenges!

Crazy4Challenges3

Crazy4Challenges3

Hello My Friends and thank you for stopping by! Today I have a card to show  that I made for a new blog called Crazy4Challenges. It is fantastic group of very talented ladies that each week gives us so much inspiration and reasons to create. I hope I am not to late to participate in this week’s sketch challenge hosted by amazing Cindy Haffner!

Long time ago I wanted to make a card that will represent a place where I live. As you may know cheese is pretty famous here in Wisconsin. We live next to a big factory that produces different kind of cheeses; of course there are lots of small farms and stores around our area too. That is why I chose this adorable mouse riding a cheese boat (Gina K. Designs stamp set)! Just by looking at the experession of this little mouse I can tell for sure that there are so many adventures on the way and he will always find a way and the right decision!

When I was working on this card I remembered a story from my childhood. Being a kid I was always wondering why cheese has holes in it? Did you ever ask the same question?…  One day somebody told me that a mouse tried to eat it, didn’t finish it all and left some holes. And from that day I was always so scary and curious at the same time – what if a mouse is still in the cheese? Of course later on I understood that it was not true and I can eat cheese without any problems and don’t worry about mice bites! 😉

I think that is all for now… Thank you so much for leaving me your kind comments! Hope you will all have a great weekend! And may your days be filled with lots of fun and joy!

Another Sketch…

Sailor Ian

Sailor Ian

Good Evening! Today was the first day when Sergei went to school after being sick. Honestly I would keep him at home, but the doctor told us that he will be all right. While Sergei was at school I played a challenge that is part of Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge Anniversary. This time I chose beautiful sketch at Sherrie’s blog.

And of course the main character of the card is cute little guy from The Greeting Farm. This time he is a sailor! He likes to travel and he will always find his way no matter what! Especially when he has such a nice Wardrobe!

I found an idea with a life safer on the Hanglar blog. To make a life saver I used two different sizes of Nestabilities. The red part was colored with Prisma colored pencils and OMS. I also sponged the life saver around the edges. Rope was made using two pieces of  DMC embroidery floss. I just took two long pieces of white and red threads and twisted them together. The other part of circle frame was cut also using Nestabilities. But even if you don’t have them you can use Fiskars templates of Coluzzele.

The sentiment I used is from Gina K. Designs stamp set Whatever Floats Your Boat. I think it is matches the card pretty well!

soccer-practiseI also have been tagged by Risa! Thank you Risa so much! First I need to share 6th picture from my file folder. Let see what it is or who is this! Good for me it’s Sergei’s picture practising his soccer.

Now I need to share some facts about myself:

1. When I was 21, I cut my hair very-very short, I looked almost like a boy!
2. I always worry about everything and anything! That is my job – that is what my DH tells me!
3. I am afraid of darkness.
4. I am always cold, even in summer.
5. I like to watch movie with my family and eat homemade popcorn. Believe or not but I like very plain popcorn with no butter, sugar or salt!

I know that now I need to tag other bloggers. But what if you would leave me in a comment one fact about you! How about this!

Looks like that is all for today! Thank you for stopping by and I am always thankful for your comments!

Hugs,

Elena

Something different and something simple… and more!

Hello My Friends! Thank you so much for telling me about your cards! I really enjoyed reading it! I also found something new from your comments – don’t stamp a sentiment, but to add it later! I think that is a very clever idea! I wouldn’t even think about this! But because of you, I now will do it too!

Yesterday was a very special day for my husband and me. 4 years ago we became wife and husband! Not so many years together yet, but they are very dear to me…

Several days ago I was speaking on the phone with my friend and she asked if I would have a time traveling machine, would I repeat the same life with my husband or I will chose another life? I couldn’t answer that question at that time; I took it so serious. But after thinking I can tell the answer: Yes, I will return to the same time and I would like to live the same life with my husband. And I know why. Before Ken I didn’t know the real meaning of the words as love, friendship, trusting and many others. But with him I can feel these words. I feel that I know Ken all my life; I can’t even imagine how did I live without him… I know it sounds crazy, but even one day without him is like one year… One day I will tell you how we met each other; it was very romantic!  I can tell honestly that Ken is my second half, and I am so glad that we found each other!

Thank You So Much

Thank You So Much

Sorry for my sentimental talking. Back to the card making world! Today’s card is very simple! But I like it! This time I used a Gina K. Designs stamp set  Whatever Floats Your Boat. I stamped the image twice and then cut the window door and attached it from the other side. This cute little giraffe was colored with two Copic markers (I have a small set that my friend gave me as a gift) and with Prisma colored pencils for the spots and background.

My inspiration for this card was a First Sketch For the New Year from Jen del Muro. I think that this sketch is perfect for the stamp I chose! The papers I used are from DCWV. I like the DP (The Green Stack) that I just bought. It is 70% recycled paper and the patterns are just so darling!

I added sewing (as usual), faux stitching, yellow cotton twine and a button. The twine is threaded through the button and attached to the holes on a blue panel. Little brads are like anchors for the twine.

That is all for today! Thank you for stopping by and reading!

And thank you so much for all your comments!

Hugs,

Elena

Штампик Whatever Floats Your Boat, который я использовала, от компании Gina K. Designs.
