Bear Wishes

Hello!

It is rainy outside, the sky is dark… Not a big fan of this gloomy weather.

Besides the weather, I would like to share a card with you (C.C. Designs stamp used in this card). It is  birthday card for my friend. Hope she likes it. 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by and writing comments.

Best wishes to all,

Elena

Trick or Treat and more…

Hello, hello Everybody!

How are you all doing? I am still preparing for the coming Craft Fair. It is getting closer. One day I devoted to card making. It felt so good to play with the stamps, inks, pencils, papers. I love card-making! 🙂

Dragom Trick or Treat 2

Here is one of the cards I made for my booth. And it look like I can participate in couple of challenges:

1. Simon Says Stamps – to use a product from Simon Says Stamps Store. I used C.C. Designs Dragon Trick-or-Treat rubber stamp and Lawn Fawn Critters In Costumes stamp set.

2. Color Throwdown Challenge – I hope these colors are close to the inspiration picture.

I thought I will show you some pictures of my no-card related projects.

Bears

Bears 2

These bears look kind of different. Awkward in a way. But I like them. It makes them unique, one of a kind. I always liked toys that looked hand made. I think they have a special warm feel and soul.

Amineko-1

Amineko-2

This cat is famous Japanese Amigurumi Amineko cat. I enjoyed making him. My husband liked him a lot too. He said he would buy it from me. 🙂

That is all for today. My guys are watching football right now. And I will make one more cat in different yarn color.

Thank you so much for stopping by my friends.

Purr-y hugs and fuzzy smiles,

Elena

One for Mojo, one for Mercy…

Hello! So glad that you found some time and stopped by today. I have two Christmas cards to share with you. They both made for sketch challenges.

The first one is for MOJO Monday which is happened to be a contest too. I decided to give a try this month also. 🙂 I thought right away about cute little polar bear when I saw amazing sketch by Julee. This bear is from clear stamp set that I bought last year from Walmart. I paper pierced his scarf, added lots of glitter. And also tried something new – created an illusion of snow hills by using “onion skin” paper. Very different style of the card, but I like how it turned out.

My second card is for Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch. Thank you Mercy for the inspiration!!! As you can see here I used so many DP, so many layers and once again transparency paper. I even took my heat gun for both of the cards and heat embossed the sentiments. This adorable Santa Emma is from C.C. Designs.

Oh, if you wonder how my hairstyle turned out… Well, it is okay. Not as I thought it will be; not very thrilled about it. Picture will come; just didn’t have time and volunteers to be my photographer. 🙂 Hopefully over the weekend Sergei can take some shuts.

That is all for today. I really appreciate all your comments. Wishing you all wonderful weekend,

Elena

Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer

Hello and thank you so much for stopping by!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you. I didn’t play with Splitcoaststampers Sketchfor sooo long… Yesterday I changed this situation and had a great time at my craft room. I knew right away who will be the main character – Christmas Trevor. He has cute little deer antlers; almost look like Rudolf the Reindeer. That is why I added red nose to his face. As you may noticed I used lots of chunky glitter around the white embossed panel. Wanted to create an illusion of snow. Talking about snow – we got our first 7 inches. For sure outside looks like real winter in WI! 🙂

That is all for now. I am so glad you stopped by and shared some time with me. Wishing you all happy weekend,

Elena

Mercy, Tuesday, Inspiration…

Hello! Thank you so much to all of you who left comments from my previous post. I will be sharing more projects with you in the future.

Today I have two cards to show you. They were both inspired by Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch. Did you know that Mercy has 100 sketches already! I really appreciate that each day (not only Tuesday) this talented lady shares her talent, her crafting passion with us. Thank you Mercy and Happy Sketch-Aversary to you!

Winter Emma

You can see that I liked this week’s layout so much, so that is why I made two cards. The first one is with Winter Emma from C.C.Designs. I added a little pattern to her sweater. Thought that this will match to the design of the Basic Grey DP that I chose.

Fall Charlotte

My second card with gorgeous Fall Charlotte from Sparkle Creations. I needed a Thank you card in my stash, so this was a perfect match. I also participating in SCRS Challenge; create a Thank You card is the theme for this week.

That is all for now. Thank you for swinging by today and leaving me your kind comments. All of my readers, all of you mean a lot to me!

Enjoy the weekend,

Elena

Sparkle Creations.

Вот, пожалуй, и все. Всем спасибо за внимание и за комментарии. Надеюсь, что ваши выходные будут наполнены хорошим настроением и все ваши планы сбудутся,

Лена

Happy Candy Day

Warning! It is a very long post with lots of pictures. Sorry about this.

Hello and Happy Halloween everybody!  Are you ready for trick-or-treating time? We already prepared a big bowl full of candy for our local kids. And Sergei is all excited about his haunting night. He will be wearing a Darth Vader costume from Star Wars. For three years he was Anakin and now like in the real movie he turned to a bad guy. 🙂

Sergei in his Darth Vader Costume

Because of the National Candy Day (Halloween) I wanted to share with you my last projects made for this holiday. My friends already got them in the mail and now I can show it here!

Emma Cow

Emma Cow

Emma in her Cow Costume (C.C. Designs Stamps) is for my wonderful friend Ida. I also made a milk carton as a treat box. What is a cow without a carton of milk? 🙂 For the card I used SC # 303. I am not quite sure if I like the pleated element of the card… But I needed to add something so the card will not look so plain.

Milk Carton

My next two boxes were made for my dear friend Anna and her little son. Pillow box with Witch Emma (C.C. Designs) is for mama; and cute Hero (Sweet November Stamp) for her son.  For the Gable  box I watched a video-tutorial by Beate. It was so easy to do; Beate really does an amazing job explaining everything so well. Plus she is an incredibly talented crafter! There is also a written tutorial by Regina Andari.

I also wanted to share a gorgeous card that I got from Ida. First of all, look at this kitty! He is so adorable! I loved the dimension she created! She also embossed the sentiment which gave a very nice texture to the card. I don’t know if you can see on the picture, but she also added some sparkles to the hat buckle. Thank you Ida!

Okay, it was a very long post. Thank you so much for making it to the end. Wish you all a spooktacular day!

May the Candy Force be with you, 🙂

Once Upon a Monthly Challenge

Hello My Friends and welcome to our Once Upon a Monthly Challenge. This month I am the host and I asked to create a Fall themed card. One of my favorite part about this season is harvest time. Especially apple picking! I miss my mom’s apple garden in Russia so much; I will never forget a smell coming from the apple tree. And of course I will always remember a taste of the apple pie from the home grown apples. I know I can buy apples here in the store, but they don’t taste the same…

Back to the card… I chose Emma with Apples stamped image (my friend Anna send it to me). Let’s pretend that it’s me with a bucket of apples at my mom’s garden.  🙂 For the layout of the card I followed a Sketch for You to Try. Worked perfectly with the BG papers.

Now, are you ready to look at Ida’s card? She created a very cute one! Please, stop at her blog; I know you will like her card as much as I liked it.

That is all for now. I will see you soon with another project, more memories to share and more stories to tell. Thank you much for stopping by,

Elena

Actetate Card

Hello My Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! Today I wanted to share with you my first try on an acetate card. I used a cute stamp from Sweet November Stamps (Baby Trick or Treat Pumpkin) that you can find at ATS store. It was quite an unusual type of a card for me, but overall the result is good. Don’t you think so?

As I promised in my previous post I wanted to write you some fun stories from the book that help Sergei to memorize states and capitals of the USA. They may sound funny and nonsensesical… Believe or not they really help; even I could remember them in a fun way (count this fact that I’m old and not so advanced in English :)) Here are some of my favorites:

– Picture this: A girl named Virginia is wearing a vest and dancing the Charleston. Did you know that you just learned the capital of West Virginia? Virginia + vest = West Virginia. Charleston=Charleston.

– Lights, Camera, Action: Imagine yourself being a cartoonist and you are drawing with your pencil a hairy hamburger. I know it sounds very weird, but on the other hand you just learned a new state and capital. Pencil=Pennsylvania, hairy + hamburger = Harrisburg.

– One more: you are at the North Pole and you just saw Carolers that laying on the snow and singing this:” Rah, rah, rah”. I bet those Carolers are so cold, but they gave a clue about next state. North + Carolers = North Carolina, “rah, rah” = Raleigh!

I also started making flash cards for Sergei; this way we can play some trivia games and learn new stuff.

That is all for now. Wishing you all a wonderful day filled with kindness, smiles and good spirits,

Elena

Two cards and Award

Hello! Wow, it is October already! Happy 1st of October everybody! Before I start showing you my cards I would like to thank you Ida for giving me Beautiful Blogger Award. Thank you so much!!! Thank you for the very nice words you wrote at your blog. It means a whole world to me. I really appreciate our friendship and I am so glad that I met you at our Wonderful Blog-land!

Beautiful Blogger Award

I wasn’t posting for several days, but I yesterday I created two cards! Can you believe? Two cards in one day is a record for me. Maybe it is because they are so simple. Well, simple doesn’t mean bad, right?

The first card was in my mind for a week. When I saw Mercy’s Sketch for the FFF Challenge I thought of participating in it that week… Time passed by so quick and I realized that I am too late to enter the challenge. Anyway I am glad that I inked up Skater Ian; I think he will be perfect for a Birthday card.

Skater Ian

My second card was inspired by the Sketch Challenge (SC300) at Splitcoaststampers. This week they have anniversary sketch! I couldn’t miss this big event! Lucky me I had a cute Witch (Sweet November Baby Trick or Treat) from C.C. Designs that my friend Anna sent to me. Thank you Anna! I don’t really have any Halloween papers, but I had some from Amy’s blog candy that I won awhile back.

Halloween Card (SC300)

After the card was finished I thought why not to enter Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. This week they have owls on the cupcakes. I hope this owl that sitting on Witch’s hat counts. 🙂

That is all for now. Thank you for stopping by and sharing your time with me! I will be back soon,

Elena
