Happy Birthday Jana!

Hello and Happy Thursday! You all know by now that we have a good tradition at La-La Land Crafts, which is a birthday celebration. It is always nice to make somebody feel extra special at this day. And today we are celebrating Jana’s birthday! Happy Birthday Jana!

Our Designers from La-La Land family prepared a special post and made a card for our Birthday Girl:

Elena (me)

And that is not all. We also wrote a post at LLLC blog featuring some of the cards that Jana made before she joined our team. You sure will not be disappointed if you will have a look at them. No surprise here why Irina invited Jana at La-La Land. Not only she is so talented and creative, but she is good writer too. She wrote such a fun rhyme game for our new release. You did an incredible job, Jana! 🙂

Now I will tell you a little bit about my card. For a second time I used Pepper with Basket. I simply adore this critter! He is on a way to Jana, and looks like he is carrying something sweet in his basket. Pepper and me wishing Jana a very joyful and full of wonderful surprises birthday!

I thought maybe you can stop at Jana’s blog today too and leave her some birthday wishes. 🙂 I know she will really like it!

That is all for now. Enjoy your day today and don’t forget about your friends’ birthdays. You know how much it means to somebody feel extra love at this day.

Inky hugs,

LLWWC #34 – Use Your Scraps

Hello and Welcome to another Wednesday Weekly Challenge at La-La Land! Jane is the host for this week and she challenged us to “Use your scraps! Scraps of cardstock to stamp on, scraps of designer paper, scraps of ribbon… whatever scraps you have lying around”.. Thanks Jane for the fun challenge!

Okay, I will open you a secret… I save all my scraps; once in awhile I go through all of them and recycle some of them of course). I don’t know if it is a good or a bad habit, but it worked perfect for this challenge. Do you remember this card and this Easel box I made long time ago? Yep, I used the scraps of the DP and even some scraps of the cardstock.

And now lets move to the main part, here is the card that I revile for you today (sneak-peek post). As you can see it is a cat, and his name is Sherman! Don’t you just love his socks! Aren’t they the coolest! 🙂

Sherman is a brand new digital stamp from the new release at La-La Land Crafts store.

This month LLLC has 2 new characters coming out in the digital stamp line along with an old favorite, and 4 new rubber stamps. Would you like to meet them all? Please stop at the La-La Land blog and have a look at all of the great projects that our Designers prepared for you. And of course we hope that you will join us for this week’s “Use your Scraps” challenge. Each week we are so excited visiting your blogs and be inspired by your creativity.

Okay, I will not hold you anymore. Thank you so much for stopping by today and sharing some time with me. Thank you for leaving your kind comments! J

Happy Birthday Sparkle!

Hello and Happy Monday Everybody!

Today is a very special day at La-La Land! Today is Sparkle’s Birthday, our Guest Designer! Not only Sparkle has a very beautiful name, but also her cards are so much of a joy to look at! They are so colorful and fun; they have the prettiest embellishments and variety of unique layouts… And what I like the best about her cards, they are so personal. She creates them for her friends and family, and tells us about it. I like visiting her blog and reading her posts, and that is what make her art one of a kind!

So, Happy Birthday Sparkle! May today be filled with sunshine and smiles, laughter and love!

Our awesome Designers and Guest Designers prepared a little celebration for our Sparkle. Each of us created a card and wrote a special post in honor of this special day.

Sparkle's Birthday!

I created a card using a Cupcake Rosie stamp, perfect for a birthday! For the layout I followed Mercy’s Tuesday sketch from long time ago (MTSC61). Hope Sparkle will like this card! 🙂

Why don’t you join us and leave some love and warm wishes for Sparkle too! I know she will love it!

Thank you so much for stopping by! For now I will tell you good-bye and see you on Wednesday,

LLWWC #32 – Paper Piecing

Hello! Today is Wednesday and it means it’s time for another La-La Land Weekly Challenge. Kristine is our host for this week and she inspired us to use a Paper Piecing on your card. Thank you Kristine! 🙂

If you are not familiar with this technique we have a special tutorial for you at La-La’s blog created by Jana. She showed how to do it with digital images. There is also another tutorial for rubber stamps created by Maureen.

LLWWC32 - Paper Piecing

LLWWC32 - Paper Piecing

Now on to my card – can you see my paper piecing here? I hope you can. I made a dress for sweet Lala with Bunny out of DP. I used digital stamp this time, but if you prefer RUBBER, not a problem – we have the whole Easter collection in rubber stamps in store for you!

For the layout of my card I followed Friday Sketch; I think it is my first time and I really liked it! I even added some Prima flowers here that is pretty unusual to me.

Since I chose some pastel colors from the DP I had, I thought why not to join The Pink Elephant Challenge blog.

Okay now it is your time to be creative and show us your paper piecing project. For more beautiful ideas please stop at La-La Land blog, all of the DT Girls did such a fantastic job. And don’t miss a special sale on featured stamp this week – Rosie with Bird is 20% off this week!

That is all for now. Thank you so much for visiting me, and thank you for leaving your lovely comments! They really mean a LOT to me!

LLWWC #31 – Make your Own Flower

Hello and welcome to a new La-La Weekly Challenge. Our fabulous Kim is a host of this week and she has a really beautiful theme for this week – MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWER.

Here are some ideas for you:

– you can create flowers with your nesties

– you can cut a strip of paper and fold a flower

– you can make ribbon flowers…

I went the easiest way and created some small flowers using embossing tool and flower punch. Once again I printed Easter Bunny Rosie from La-La Land Crafts. Just love these stamps, perfect for any color medium. As you all know my favorite are an old fashioned Prismacolor pencils. I am still learning how to be a PRO, but it is getting better. 🙂  Oh, and I just found out that all the digital Easter stamps are available in RUBBER now! So if you like to feel a rubber stamp in your hand, it is time to stop at La-La Land Crafts Store!

LLWWC31 - Handmade Flowers

LLWWC31 - Handmade Flowers

For the layout of the card I stopped at the Sweet Sunday Sketch blog and lucky me – this sketch worked perfect for me!

I didn’t play challenges for a long time at Crazy4Challenges blog, so this was a perfect time – create a Spring card. I think my card looks springy enough!

Okay are you ready to create your own flowers? Then join us at La-La Land and share your inspiration with us! Don’t know where to start? Visit LLLC blog which is filled with so many ideas and beautiful projects from our DT and Guest DT!

And last but not least – we have a special sale for the featured stamp of this week which is adorable Porsha!

Thank you so MUCH for stopping by and leaving your comments! They really mean a lot to me!

P.S. I also wanted to tell you that I will not be posting as often, only Wednesdays (due some changes in my life, hopefully to a better side… ) But as you may notice I am visiting your blogs regularly. Trying to be a good girl. 🙂

LLWWC #29 – Go Green, Recycle it!

Hello and Happy Wednesday my Friends! It is time for another La-La’s Weekly Challenge! It is my turn to be a host and I am pretty excited about this.

Today is also St.Patrick’s day, so to all who follow this holiday big congratulations from me. Since Irish holiday has an association of green to me, I decided to go with the Green challenge, but not a color challenge – RECYCLE IT challenge. What can use as a recycle item you will ask… And here are some ideas for you:

– cereal box can be a chipboard or even as a Kraft card stock;

– old non-expensive ear ring can be a charm;

– use a newspaper, wrapping paper or wall paper as a DP;

 – buttons from your old shirt;

 – acetate from packing…

For my card I used a two recycled items:

– box from crackers (reverse side);

– twine from parcel (got a parcel from Russia which was tied with this twine)

To create this little scene I inked up Pirate Lala from La-La Land Crafts which is on special sale this week  – 20% off! Isn’t she is adorable! Each little girl has her dreams, Lala dreams of ships and adventures. Of course she will not be a Pirate when she will grow up, but she will treasure her memories. One day these little thighs will be big just because it was part of her life, her childhood.

LLWWC30 -Go Green!

LLWWC30 -Go Green!

To make a little sitting place for Lala I created Carrick Bend knot. I followed tutorial from this site. It was pretty cool to try tying a real nautical knot. 🙂

I also used on of the faux wood-grain technique while making a wood board out of crackers’ box. And last but not least, I was so “brave” to burn the DP for creating an aged look to the designer paper.

Hope that you will join us for this challenge too! Here are the rules of the challenge:

– participants will be required to use LLLC stamps;

– the stamp used by the host of the challenge will be on the special for the week of the challenge at 20% off. This week is Pirate Lala.

– the winner of the challenge will receive a $10 credit to LLLC store.(*digital stamps are exclude)

If you don’t have rubber stamps from LLLC store, you can always use digital! And did you know that by purchasing them you will get two images of the same digi stamp – one of the outline and one of the colored image.

Before you start saving the world by recycling, please stop at LLLC blog, you don’t want to miss our DT and Guest DT projects! They always do such an amazing job!

Thank you so MUCH for stopping by and I will meet you later this week! Enjoy your day,

Supplies: card stock, cracker box, twine from parcel, self-adhesive pearls (black), Pirate Lala from La-La Land Crafts, sentiment from Little Paper Shop, DP, vintage distress ink, Memento black ink, Prisma colored pencils, OMS, CB embossing folder

LLWWC#29 – Pastel Colors

Hello and happy Wednesday! It is a time for another La-La’s Weekly Wednesday Challenge. This week is hosted by our amazing Maureen. Since we have all these fab new Spring stamps, Maureen decided to set the theme as Pastel colors.

I love pastel colors, they really give a very soft  look to the project. And how lucky I was to get a perfect paper for this in the DT package from Irina. The pattern of the paper matches to the design of Easter Bunny under skirt. This sweet Bunny lives at La-La Land Crafts.

I also was so happy to try a new kind of the card (tent card) which I saw at the Just Magnolia blog. Dena shared a wonderful tutorial on how to make it. I changed a size of my card and left the top of it folded. Using CB die-cuts I added corner embellishments. I really like how this card turned out. 🙂

And if you can see on a picture I added some paper piercing around the oval frame. This gives me an opportunity to join a challenge at Crazy4Challenges blog.

Why don’t you join us for this challenge? Starting this week we will have a few changes:

-participants will be required to use LLLC stamps;

– the stamp used by the host of the challenge will be on the special for the week of the challenge at 20% off. This week is is Easter Bunny  Rosie.

– the winner of the challenge will receive a $10 credit to LLLC store.(*digital stamps are exclude)

The good news are that if you don’t have rubber stamps from LLLC store, you can always use digital! And did you know that by purchasing them you will get two images of the same digi stamp – one of the outline and one of the colored image. We also have a special offer – Buy all six digi images from the Spring Release for only $20.00!! AWESOME savings of 20%!

Don’t forget to visit La-La Land Crafts blog for even more inspiration! Our DT Guest and DT Girls prepared so many spring looking projects!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! We are looking forward for your beautiful pastel colors creations!

Have a fantastic day,

Rosie With Teddy Bear

Hello My Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! It is finally warm here (about 40F), looks like spring is coming! My DH already had a barbecue; he was waiting for this sooooo long! 🙂

Good weather inspired me for the card instead. Of course without Mercy’s beautiful sketch (MTSC63) I wouldn’t create this card. Thank you so much Mercy for sharing it!

Rosie With Teddy Bear (MTSC63)

Rosie With Teddy Bear (MTSC63)

For my card I used Rosie With Teddy Bear stamp from La-La Land Crafts. I think she is so precious! First I wanted to leave the image on white piece of paper, but then I decided to cut her out and attach with the dimension tape.

That is all for now… Enjoy the rest of the weekend! I will see you next time with more projects!

Thank you so MUCH for leaving your kind comments! I really appreciate it!

Inky hugs and happy smiles,

Thank You Cards

Hello My Friends! As I promised yesterday I have two cards to show. I was so happy to be back to crafting, missed all my papers and colored pencils. 🙂

As you may know from my previous post La-La Land Crafts just released Easter Collection of the digital stamps. Of course I wanted to try them too! If you are not familiar with the digital stamps Irina created two tutorials that will help you to understand how to save and print them. And don’t forget about the Spring Is Here Blog Hop at La-La Land Crafts blog. Not only you will enjoy visiting our DT and Guest DT blogs, but you also can win a prize!

My first card was inspired by the Sketch Challenge  (SC 270) at Splitcoaststampers. I printed Easter Bunny Rosie and colored her with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. Then I cut her out and attached to the embossed piece of the white paper. Three little buttons, ribbon and card is ready!

Rosie With Bunny

This card is also made for several other challenges:

Crazy4Challenge – add texture to your card;

The Pink Elephant Challenge blog – use green color;

For my second card I decided to join another sketch challenge at the brand new and fabulous blog called Oh, Alice! I am so glad I did it! Thank you to Jessica and her amazing Team for creating it and making our crafting life even more interesting!

Lala With Flower

La-La with Rose was perfect for this layout, and what I like the best about the new images is that you can use them for almost every occasion. I made a Thank you card, but you can make an Easter card, Mother’s Day card or even a Birthday card! Possibilities are endless! 🙂

I am going to send these cards to the Nurses who gave a very good take care to Sergei while we were at the hospital.

That is all for today I think. I will be volunteering at Sergei’s classroom today. Missed two weeks, so excited to be back!

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your comments! Have a beautiful day everybody,
