Last evening I was making mini-book for the Hero Arts Flickr Group contest. This week Lisa Spangler was hosting the Hero Arts blog. This week it was all about bookmaking! Each week they have challenges. So I decided to try myself in this one on making books. I was lucky to have a clear design stamp set from Hero Arts.
Before I started to tell you how I made my mini-book I wanted to tell how many beautiful projects you can find on the Hero Arts Blog. I really like the tutorials. They are very helpful. I got to know lots of information from them. And all of the ladies in their team are so very talented. I just love Hero Arts!!!
To make my birthday book I was following the tutorial Accordion Book In A Box by Karen Thomas from The Scrapbook Lounge. For the inside pictures I stamped the butterflies using dye-based ink. Then I cut the acetate squares (they became page protectors) and stamped a sentiment on them with Black StazOn ink.
I made the origami box following the tutorial by Dannie Graves. I really enjoyed doing it. Don’t think that I will be even noticed in the Hero Arts Pool but I can always try.
Hope you will all have a wonderful weekend!
Enjoy the Holiday,
Elena
Supplies: designer paper, Hero Arts acrylic stamps, dye-based ink, acetate, Black StazOn ink, ribbon.

one day i will do it, but so many minis to do 😉
I ended up never doing.
This is great…I made one of these a year ago but never got around to the matching box (hee hee!). Love the color palette you chose!
What a gorgeous and detailed work of art! Love all the elements that make this set so beautiful!
Я хочу поддержать написанное выше мнение: очень удачно выбраны цвета. Аккуратнейшее исполнение. Вот бы мне хоть одну работу выполнить на таком уровне!
Wow! this is a beautiful book! Whoever receives this from you is a very lucky friend!
Wow,
absolutely stunning, I am a big fan of butterflies and bugs, you probably already guessed that, so this really does get my vote.
