Spotlighting Mistake

Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time

Hello! Today I would like to show you another birthday card! Busy Birthday Month! As you can see I tried a new technique for myself. I was not planning on it, but an accident gave me a chance. I water colored this cute little guy on a mushroom and just couldn’t get the result that I would like. I was ready to throw away all of them (about 5 of them), but when I looked at the last one my hand moved to my circle punch and poor little guy was punched. Now what I will do with you… Spotlighting technique of course! I always wanted to try it. You can find a tutorial by very-very talented Beate at a great stamp community Splitcoaststampers. Thank you to Beate who had done a genius and very generous job for all of us!

I stamped the main image on a piece of a cereal box. I love craft card stock, but I don’t have it. The color looks pretty close, who will know? Right?

For putting this card together I found an inspiration in the sketch from very creative Ana. Just love Ana’s blog!

And the last addition to the card was inspired by Allison’s Challenge. This week you need to make a paper craft and include buttons in it. I knew I had a mushroom button… Now this button found a new place to live!

I hope you all had a good day today!

Thank you for sharing my time with me!

Happy Stamping,

TheRedHairedGirl
