Fun Ride With Rosie

Hello My Friends! So glad that you stopped by today!

Yesterday I spent some time in my craft room. I wanted to make a card that will tell you a little bit about myself. This adorable little girl and her furry friend kitty is a stamp from La-la Land Crafts Company (Down the Slopes Rosie). It was my first time inking up their stamps and not the last one that’s for sure!

Back to the topic… In Russia during the wintertime especially in a place where I was born it was very popular to ride a sled. Sled is not only fun rides from the snow hills, but also is a very common kind of transportation. When Sergei was small I was using it very often to bring him to the kindergarten or going to the store (or anyplace). I was wrapping him in a warm shawl (early winter mornings are very cold in Siberia), so you will only see his eyes. During the summer time most of the people with the kids were keeping their sled on the balconies of their apartments. So if you will see a sled, you will know that this family has a little one! 🙂

Of course not only cute stamps and memories inspired me for this card. The layout of the card is a Sketch Challenge from Splitcoaststampers (SC252). I also wanted to participate in Sparkle’s Christmas Card Challenge and this card is a good opportunity! And one more challenge I would like to join is at La-La Land Crafts blog. this week it is all about ribbon!

Здравствуйте дорогие гости моего блога! Очень рада, что вы нашли время и решили разделить со мной немного времени. Сегoдняшняя открытка подарила мне очень много воспоминаний и приятных впечатлений. Это забавная девочка и ее милый котенок  (штампик от компании La-La Land Crafts) напомнили мне об одном очень популярном виде “транспорта” в том месте, где родились я и мой сынишка. Всем известно, что санки это не только веселые игры на горках, но и отличный способ передвижения. Думаю, что Сережа уже забыл как рано утром мама (я) укутывала его в теплую шаль (не секрет что сибирское зимнее утро очень холодное), так что одни глазки торчат, и усаживала на санки. А потом эти санки отправлялись или в садик, или в магазин, в общем любое место дальнего назначения. Когда зима заканчивалась, наши санки оправлялись на балкон. В общем санки получались своего рода знаком – здесь живет семья с ребятишками! 😉

Конечно, я бы не обошлась без помощи эскиза, который послужил главной идей для дизайна открытки.

Надеюсь вам понравилась моя история, может и вам она принесет воспоминания из детства…
