Hello and welcome to La-La Land Weekly Challenge. Our talented Kathy hosts this week, and she asked us to create a card with a charm on it. So this week’s challenge called How Charming! Love this title, and thank you to Kathy for this great idea!

When I saw the word “charm”, I thought of a cute little bear charm right away. My husband found it for me at Michaels in a bead section. When he brought it home, I knew which stamp to choose – don’t you think Teddy Bear Lala is perfect for this charm? 

Then I chose some DP that Irina sent to me in the DP package two months ago, I love the combination of the colors. For the layout I decided to play with Sweet Sunday Sketch at Karen’s blog.

While making this card I remembered a story about my special bear. I think each girl no matter how old she is has a special toy (bear, bunny, dog, and etc), a toy that keeps a story or memory. Let me share my story…

Long time ago when my husband and I met each other, we lived in different countries separated by ocean. We were writing each other letters by mail, sending cards, and little gifts too. One day Ken wanted to send a special gift to me, a necklace with a locket in a shape of the heart. Inside the heart there was a picture of Sergei and him – two special men of my life. Since necklace was a jewelry item, he couldn’t send it by any mail; yep you can’t send it abroad…  After a little disappointment my husband decided to risk – he bought a stuffed animal (bear) and wrapped necklace around him. Believe or not but several months later bear in the mailing box knocked in my door. This special delivery bear traveled a long way with a necklace for me! After I was ready to move to my husband I took this bear with me. This special bear traveled twice across the ocean! He is now a part of our story and our life. When I look at him now, I always have a smile on my face and sweet memories. And that neckalce is always on my neck, always with me!

Всем привет! В предверии волшебного праздника Нового Года мне бы хотелось показать вам очередную открытку, и поделиться историей из свoей жизни. Не случайно я выбрала в качестве украшения открытки симпатичного медвежонка. Я думаю, что со мной согласятся многие читатели моего блога, что у каждой девочки независимо от возраста есть любимая игрушка (мишка, зайка, собачка и т.д.), и эта игрушка по-особому дорога… а может даже и хранит свою историю.

Когда-то очень давно нас с моим мужем разделяло очень большое расстояние – тысячи километров… Очень часто мы писали друг другу письма, посылали романтичные открытки, а порой и маленькие подарки. Однажды мой муж хотел мне послать особый подарок – кулончик в виде сердечка, которое открывалось, а внутри него фотографии - его и Сережи. В общем фотографии самых дорогих для меня мужчин. Ни одно из отделений почты не разрешило отсылать это украшение на столь далекое расстояние, в другую страну. И тогда мой муж решил рискнуть – кто не рискует, тот не пьет шампанское! Он купил плюшевого мишку, обмотал цепочку с кулончиком вокруг его шеи и отправил простую посылку. Не поверите, но посылка дошла! Вот так в моей жизни появился маленький плюшевый посланник с сердечком. В скором времени я переехала к своему любимому, и наш медвежонок во второй раз перелетел через океан. До сих пор при взгляде на этого плюшевого мишутку, я вспоминаю нашу историю. А сердечко-кулончик всегда со  мной!

    Your card is SO cute-the shading is amazing! I was so stunned by your coloring, but then when I saw that GORGEOUS, and I mean GORGEOUS picture of YOU I couldn’t believe it! You are STUNNING, my red-headed friend! Awww LOVE the bear and Sergei too. HOW sweet!
