Borrow a Cup of Smiles

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by! I have two cards today to share with you today. I will start with Thinking of you card that Susan sent to Ken regarding his surgery and recovery after it. First of all I would like to thank you Susan for doing it; you can’t even imagine how important it is to us to get some kind and thoughtful words. My husband was so surprised and very touched by this special mail. He was amazed by all the texture effect and faux stitching Susan created. I was amazed of how beautiful this card also! 🙂 All of the layers, stamped background, tiny tag, very neat stitching, pretty soft colors, leaf emebllishment… It is just speaks to you how thoughtful it is. Thank you so MUCH, Susan!

A little bit about card I made.  I missed so many Farm Fresh Friday Challenges lately… So when I saw the theme for this week which is Old Skool, I thought I really need to play this one. It brought back some memories when I was in DT; when Marie asked me to join her team. I will never forget when I won Bronze medal in Olympic Games at Pink Poison. Good memories, good times… And of course I will always heart my very first stamp sets… Do you remember this cute mouse from a ‘Cup of Stuff’ stamp set?

I followed Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch for the layout (I just changed the location of the main elements). Thank you Mercy for providing inspiration each week!

That is all for now… It has been pretty warm here in WI lately and I love it! Ken is doing much better; they took his stitches out on Wednesday. Doctor said that it is healing well. 🙂 And most important my DH is in a better mood; not so cranky and grumpy!

While my mojo is still with me I will try to make more cards! As always I am so grateful to all of you for leaving me your comments. They mean so much to me!

Enjoy the rest of your day,
