Actetate Card

Hello My Friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! Today I wanted to share with you my first try on an acetate card. I used a cute stamp from Sweet November Stamps (Baby Trick or Treat Pumpkin) that you can find at ATS store. It was quite an unusual type of a card for me, but overall the result is good. Don’t you think so?

As I promised in my previous post I wanted to write you some fun stories from the book that help Sergei to memorize states and capitals of the USA. They may sound funny and nonsensesical… Believe or not they really help; even I could remember them in a fun way (count this fact that I’m old and not so advanced in English :)) Here are some of my favorites:

– Picture this: A girl named Virginia is wearing a vest and dancing the Charleston. Did you know that you just learned the capital of West Virginia? Virginia + vest = West Virginia. Charleston=Charleston.

– Lights, Camera, Action: Imagine yourself being a cartoonist and you are drawing with your pencil a hairy hamburger. I know it sounds very weird, but on the other hand you just learned a new state and capital. Pencil=Pennsylvania, hairy + hamburger = Harrisburg.

– One more: you are at the North Pole and you just saw Carolers that laying on the snow and singing this:” Rah, rah, rah”. I bet those Carolers are so cold, but they gave a clue about next state. North + Carolers = North Carolina, “rah, rah” = Raleigh!

I also started making flash cards for Sergei; this way we can play some trivia games and learn new stuff.

That is all for now. Wishing you all a wonderful day filled with kindness, smiles and good spirits,

Elena
