Hello! Hope your day is better than mine …

I don’t know how to start this post but I feel really sad today. Yesterday I made a card for my dearest girlfriend’s mother in law. I wanted to make something special to show her how I appreciate our friendship and how she and her family are important to me.

Accordian Fold Card 1When I saw this fabulous card with a wonderful tutorial made by Claudia I decided to try this too. Of course what I made is not even close to Claudia’s art. (I mean I need a lot of work and practice to reach a professional result…) Her cards are adorable and very well done!!! I am really amazed by Claudia’s talent. You probably think that I use always the same words describing other people artwork. But I really respect everybody’s talent and an effort that they put in the creations.

When I finished my card, the only thing that I liked was the color and paper combination. But my coloring didn’t turn out good. I don’t know what to do… I am not talented… Probably I just should quit trying even doing anything… My husband is trying to cheer me up telling that I just need more experience. He believes in me more than I. Maybe some of you had this feeling and will understand me. I wanted to be a part of the creative world. But looks like the door is closed for me… I will try again and will let you know.

Now I will dry my tears and go to the post office to send this card to my friend. Hope My friend’s mother in law will forgive me for my unprofessional card.

Are you kidding? That was a really nice card — I liked it and I think your friends mother-in-law will too. Art is your vision — there is no such thing as being “unprofessional.” Be inspired by things around you and the art will come.

Just keep plugging along and know that some days are better than others in the creative world. As long as you enjoy what you do…keep it up. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Don`t be so hard on yourself……….it`s a great card. I love it, and would be delighted to receive a hand made card like this.
There isn`t a lot going on with the card until you take a closer look. It says so much!

Are you kidding me? Honestly, go into my blog archives near the beginning and then you will know what a stinker is! I think this is wonderful. And heck, I had to re-color an image six times the other day (seriously!). Whether I screwed it up or something later got dropped on it, I just couldn’t win for trying!

Эта открытка теперь хранится в сумочке у одной весьма жизнелюбивой пожилой дамы. И она передает тебе привет, Елена!
