Twilight Tuesday Challenge

twilight-tuesadyHappy Tuesday everybody! Today I would like to show two cards that were made for the Twilight Tuesday Challenge. This week it is sponsored by the Artful INKables and I am very excited to participate in it. The name of the challenge is Inspiration Challenge – What Says Twilight to you? “Many people often say that reading the Twilight saga has been life-changing. Please share how the saga has changed your own life or made you view life in a different way”.

As you can see I chose Bella’s quote from the last book:” Why am I covered in feathers”? I thought that was kind of a cute question. But this question brings us to the main idea of the last book. Bella and Renesmee, Mother and Daughter… First when I was reading the book, I didn’t understand Bella why she decided to have this baby (I was thinking of this Edward’s point of view). But then I changed my opinion. How would I behave being a woman and waiting for a child from a man that I love? I probably will do the same, that’s what you call maternal instinct. Sorry for some very deep philosophycal thoughts, but that is what I feel.

Almost forgot to tell the MOJO Monday Sketch inspired the layout of the first card.

vampire-baseball1My second card tells everything by itself. Vampire’s Baseball… That is one of my favorite action scenes (really liked how Alice was pitching); I liked it even more after watching a movie. That was a beautiful game; even though I am not a big fan of a sport. First I couldn’t get why did they play it only during the thunderstorm, but then… there is no way with all of their speeds and special abilities.

That was my first try with a Twilight Tuesday Challenge, and I hope you liked what I did.  For both of the card I used new stamps from Artful INKables Into The Moonlight and Fictionally Inspired. If you would like to participate in this challenge, please stop at the Twilight Tuesday blog and join us!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! And thank you for your comments!

  15. I can’t tell you how much I love that feathers card. I love the color but what I really like about it is how much the striped paper looks like the ticking for feather beds back in the old days. It’s just perfection!

  16. Hi Elena — Today is so fun – it’s great to have other designers playing along with us! The Artful INKables stamp sets are beautiful – we all love ’em over at Twilight Tuesday. Your two cards are beautiful — love the vintage feel and the stripes. I can’t WAIT to use the baseball stamps myself! Play along with us again – nice to “meet” you!

  19. Maria says:

Hey Elena. . .you reall captured the Twilight Saga with your cards!! Awesome job on both cards. . .I especially love the Vampire Baseball! That was my favorite part of the movie! It was a fun segment.

I don’t know if Twilight was life changing for me but it brought back my love for reading. My favorite book is still the first book. As for Bella. . what I didn’t understand was her resistance to get married. She’s in love with Edward and she doesn’t want to marry him.
