Stamping Up Event

Stamping Up Event 1Today I would like to show several cards that we were making last Saturday at Stamping Up event.

Michelle our local SU Demonstrator hosted it. She is very talented and very nice person. I always enjoy visiting her special events. This event was about trying new stamp sets, new color inks and new embellishments, new tools and new techniques.

I really liked the new stamping set that we used on making first card (Pocket Silhouettes). The other thing that I liked about new stamp sets that they already pre-cut for you. We put a big eyelet using a Crop-A-Dile. It is so easy to do with this tool.

Our second card was a gift cardholder. It was fun for me to try a paper cutter with a scoring blade.

Stamping Up Event 3The third card impressed me with a new stamp. I like flowers… I think that they also have a life like we have. I even believe that they can talk. And I believe in flowers Fairies. And flowers like when you talk with them. I heard that there was an experiment where they took the same flowers and put them in different rooms. One flower got all the love and nice words; the other flower was growing in a negative atmosphere. At the end of this experiment the first was growing and blooming and the other one died. My favorites flowers are the wild flowers. I don’t know why but I just love them.

The last card took a lot of time to make it. We tried new color ink (tangerine tango), very vibrant and not so bright at the same time. As you can see I didn’t put enough ink on some of the flowers. But I still like it. First we stamped the flowers, and then cut them with a 5-Petal Flower Punch. The other thing we tried on this card is a new scalloped edge punch. This punch makes your punching life much easier! For the inside of the card we punched the edge and then crimped the piece of a cardstock. The same we did with petals. First we stamped them and then crimped the paper with a Crimper. Another wonderful tool!

Thanks to Michelle for this class! I really enjoyed it!

Hope you all will have a nice weekend!
