Meet the Alien

Hello!

As I said yesterday today I have a picture of the new toy I made for my son. When he asked me to make him a toy, he didn’t know what he wanted. But I got an idea in my head. Before we became citizens of the USA in every immigration application we were filling there was one name for us – alien. So, Sergei and I were aliens. 🙂  Word  Alien has several meanings:

– a foreigner, especially one who is not a naturalized citizen of the country where he or she is living: an enemy alien.

– a plant or animal species originally introduced from another country and later naturalized.

– a hypothetical or fictional being from another world: she discovers that the alien’s spaceship has crashed.

Now you will understand why I picked an Alien as a toy. And to my big surprise I even had a pattern in one of the books I have. Sewn Toy Tales  by Rosalie Quinlan and Melanie Hurlston is a great book! Really, it has so many projects and patterns!

From now one we are not the only aliens in our house. Of course we look a bit different, but sometimes I think we have so much in common! 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your comments!

Hugs,

Elena (the mother of two Aliens)

Sewn Toy Tales.

Coleen has a ratty looking doll she bought at a yard sale with yarn hair. I bet she would love one of your dolls. I have missed chatting with you. Please email me and let me know how things are going and I will email back. I’m not on my craft blog much anymore but do a lot on my photography blog.
