Rock The Farm

Sorry for the late post today… I tried to make some changes at my blog, but it didn’t work. I was so upset, and wasn’t really in mood to make a card. But in the afternoon everything changed! My favorite mail lady brought me an envelope from my friend Anna.I was so happy! Anna found me through my blog and can you belive she is from Siberia and she likes to stamp!!! So you probably know what I found in the mail – beautiful card and some card making heaven – papers!!! I knew what I will do with them. Anna, thank you so much for your wonderful letter and surprise!

The card I made was also inspired by two challenges. The first one is the Inspiration Challenge at Our Creative Corner. This time it is hosted by very talented Laurie Schmidlin, all you need to do is to pick your favorite embellishment and create a card around it. I love these cute little fish brads (they are also a gift from friend Anna!), and I think they are perfect for the card with Ian who is a fisherman this time. I enjoyed playing with this stamp. I paper pieced all outfit for Ian using Basic Grey DP.

The second challenge is a sketch challenge from Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. The sketch is so pretty, and with the papers I got it was so much fun to put the whole card together.

What can I say – it is wonderful that somebody one day created word BLOG. Why? Because without this word I wouldn’t have met any of you and and how boring my life would be. But know I know so many people amd I made so many friends! 

I also wanted to show you cards that my friend Anna sent me. Don’t you think she should join us in the blogging world? I think so!

Supplies: cardstock from local craft store, DP from K&Company, DP from Basic Greay, black StazOn ink, stamp set from The Greeting Farm, Prisma colored pencils, Gamsol, fish shaped brads, Nestabilities, dye-based SU ink.

Для изготовления этой открытки с забавным рыбаком я использовала штампик, чернила, дизайнерскую бумагу и очень симпатичные рыбки-“брадс” (подарок от подруги и очень талантливой рукодельницы). Главным помошником послужил скетч на блоге Taylored Expressions. Рыбак, герой открытки, выполнен в технике аппликация, т.е. все элементы одежды вырезаны из декоративной бумаги и наклеены. Мне очень нравится работать в этой технике, легко, быстро и придает некий интерес одеждe героя.

Помимо своей открытки мне бы хотелось показать очень красивые открытки, которые я получила от моей подруги Анны! Я уже говорила, как я люблю получать открытки от друзей, и разгдядывать их часами, трогать. Да все мы открыточницы, наверное, такие.  Хотя задуматься, открытка это ведь бумага, сделано же из бумаги… Но сколько радости и положительных эмоций она порой может принести. Удивительно!
