Hello and thank you for stopping by! Today is time for our Weekly La-La Land Challenge!
Jane presents this week and here is what she came up with this week:
“This week’s challenge is all about BUTTONS! I was organizing my embellishments and realized how many buttons I have managed to collect over the years. It seems that I love to collect and not use them! Does anyone else have this problem? Well, now you get to look through your stash and find one or two or however many you want to use for this challenge.”
I’m the same way as Jane… That is what I like about different challenges; they inspire you for using something that you don’t usually use very often. Now be ready for two cards I made. Yep, I made two because didn’t like so much the first one. You know sometimes you have an idea in your head and it’s not the same as you were imagining especially when you look at your finished “product” (big sign here). Oh, well that will prove one more time that I am not a Genius…
For the layout of the first card I chose a very pretty sketch from Annabelle Stamps blog. Really liked this sketch and all of the elements to it. As you can see I added some sewing to the card and dry embossing using a CB folder. What I didn’t like about this card… It looks way to dark, sewing is crooked and something is definitely missing.
So yesterday I took the same stamp Hot Cocoa Whiskers, inked it up, colored, cut it out and made a different card. Only this time I chose brighter paper, and different sentiment.
Now it looks much better and I am not so embarrassed to participate in one more challenge that is at Pink Elephant blog. This week is all about your favorite coloring technique. You know that I can’t live without my favorite Prismacolor pencils!
Wow! That was a long post… I will not keep you anymore because I know that you are ready to use your buttons and show us your art! We can’t wait to see all your wonderful projects! Please, stop at La-La Land Crafts for more buttons ideas, they sure will inspire you!
Thank you so much for reading it and leaving me your comments. I really appreciate all your time and attention. See you next time :)! Have a beautiful day,
Elena

Как мне нравится применение пуговиц.Сразу вспоминается бабушка и её коробочка с изумительными старинными пуговицами.Где они сейчас?
So darn cute!!! thanks so much for joining us this week at TPE!!!
These are both DARLING! LOVE the plaid, “home-y” theme on both of them -it’s a cold rainy day here and just makes me think of warmth. I love all the textures, too! Just adorable, my sweet friend!
Oh so so darling, I love them.
Personal taste is a funny thing, I like the darker one. Both are great
Gorgeous work! Love the masculine vibe of the first one and the sunny appeal of the second!
I think both of your cards are darling!
WOW, these are both really GREAT!! LOVE your DPs used and all the fun buttons just add so much. 🙂 Cute images too! Love how you popped them up! x
These are darling…the first one would be too cute for a male…the second one could be too cute for me !!!
Леночка, котята изумительны! Первый, как будто, на уютном пледе моей бабушки, а второй озорник распивает чай на солнечной лужайке! И вырезан очень аккуратно, объем виден отлично!
Пуговицы очень к месту!
Very cute cards Elena! You can’t go wrong with the cute image!! Love the colors in the first and your 3d on the second is fabulous!! I think they are both cute!!
:)Kathy

Well I think they are BOTH adorable!!! I love how the same image can look so different! The first sketch is awesome, and I love the dark plaid. The second is so bright and cheerful, and I love the popped up image! Fabulous cards, Elena!!!
I love to look at buttons…I have a huge jar of buttons from my grandmother, I remember looking through them as a child. there are some really interesting ones in the mix!!!
Your cards are adorable! The image looks so different with the different papers and colors! Your coloring is brilliant on both! Great job Elena!!!

Глядя на твоих уютных кошечек подумалось: время пить чай!! 🙂 Леночка, отличное решение, обе любительницы чая нашли достойное обрамление 😉
Awesome button cards, my friend!!!
Oh my gosh, Elena. BOTH cards are adorable. I love the rich warm colors on the first and the fun plaid of the second. And your coloring is absolutely FABULOUS!!!
Both of your cards are beautiful Elena! I think the dark colors of the first card would be perfect for a guy and the lighter colors fabulous for a female! I also love the dimension and the way kitty’s tail peeks off the mat. Very cool!
hugs
Risa:)
Both are just so sweet and love the way you used the buttons too!
